Nursery Rhymes Presentations...

Over several weeks, we have been learning a variety of Nursery Rhymes. A few days ago, the kids were grouped in small groups and then they chose the Nursery Rhyme they wanted to act out. The children discussed who would do which jobs. They also worked out what props they would need. Some made them from scratch and others added some things from home. Each group worked together and practiced their parts. Take a look at our performances:

What a special presentation made by your students! I think it is great that you are teaching your students to be presenters, story-tellers and creative all in one! I like how they used objects in your classroom to act this out. Have you ever thought of having the students illustrate the nursery rhymes and putting them together as a digital story to share with parents?

Hi,
Thanks for the idea. Actually, in years past we did something similar. We had some students that made a video to help us learn to count in Polish! They took the photos, and did the voice-over. It was really cute! Check it out...
